Anthony Quinn was a Latin-American born actor that successfully made the crossover…well, almost. He was perpetually type casted as the “other” in all of his movies (a bandito, Barrabás the thief, Indian, mobster etc.) In this sequence, from the movie “They died with their boots on”. Quinn portrays Crazy Horse. We see him speak, but the actual soundtrack is that of Latino immigrants “speaking” English all at once. Their words are lost in the resulting cacophony. Thus the “Indian” speaks but we can’t hear him and the immigrants talk but we cannot understand them. 1996.
